This Year's Tree

Closet space over here is not something anyone would be jealous about.  We knew this before arriving, and therefore made artificial tree storage decisions accordingly.  We left the big beautiful family tree back in the States.  However, we brought all the family ornaments.  This was a little precarious in thought as the other tree we also put up is a bit smaller and sparser (the one for all the White House ornaments...only) is the one that came with us.  It turned out pretty well, though.  Like everyone else, we enjoy having the lights on, especially in the nighttime.

Other than the strands of beads that swirl around the tree, those are the only generic decorations on, the rest are ornaments, unique in each and their own right.  We enjoy pulling them out and reminscing...

Some of where we have been:

I appreciate every church primary leader, preschool room mom, and kindergarten teacher who takes the time to take pictures and add them to a class-led craft.  I appreciate all the family members that make sure that my kids have "1st Christmas" ornaments.  I appreciate all the nice neighbors who buy personalized family ornaments to cherish the differences as the years and members accrue:

We get excited when we see some of our favorites:

We had fun adding some new ones this year:
