Langkawi--Day 4

The next morning, we headed out for what ended up to be another fun memory, go-carts:

Jeremy, Sarah, and Allison each drove with McKenna, Parker, and Madison, respectively.  Allison took one corner just a little too fast (but not dangerously) and ended up backwards.  I regret not having any video of how dramatic Madison was for the remainder of the vacation of how "she tried to kill me!"

We then traveled up to the highest mountain in Langkawi, at 893 meters, Mount Gunung Raya.  There was more wildlife to be seen here, too.

We also visited a "Kraft Komplex" and saw so much interesting things.  Particularly, we learned about batik (a form of wax and painting on fabric in this part of the world):

Behind this building was another smaller one, belonging to a glass company.  It was well worth our time to see their fascinating work, as well:

We had a couple places that were a bit of a "bust."  The hot springs were gorgeous, but the water itself were algae filled.  The Black Sand beach was not that big, so we didn't stay and play or bag any up:

We did manage to get a couple pictures of the local "architecture."  The first three are traditional Malay houses.  The space underneath is where the animals live.  The third picture is what a lot of more modern people have done...enclosed the space below or added more house onto the back for more "space."  The last picture is what a house in this area would typically look like if built currently.
