early birthday present

Allison has a birthday coming up.  Between now and then, she and all of her friends will disperse themselves out among the world in required high school "extended field trips" and when she returns she gets to endure a surgery.  So...several of her friends came over the night before some of them began leaving, and "kidnapped" her for dinner at the local Indian food restaurant (now known as Al Azhar) and ice cream at the nearest mall.  They brought these over when they came.
