Sydney--Day 5

Christmas Day!  We slept in.  Everyone.  Santa found us in our hotel.  Stockings were filled.  We had breakfast around the corner at Guylian Chocolate Cafe'.  Even though 4 hot chocolates, 1 orange juice, 1 diet Coke, 1 Belgian waffle, 1 ham and cheese croissant with salad, 1 pancake, 1 custard pastry and 2 chocolate-chocolate chip muffins cost $116--it was worth it with the chocolate for Christmas morning.

We played in the pool, read books and magazines, and finally did some laundry.  We snapped an obligatory photo of McKenna with her classroom project/vacation joining gingerbread girl.  Only one of us were excited to have an additional member to not lose.

We  took a ferry from Circular Quay to Manly Beach for $37 with return on a 25 minute trip.  Another good beach to visit is Bondi.  Everything I read seemed that Manly was just a bit more family friendly and slightly smaller waves.  Unfortunately, it started to rain upon our arrival.  We still enjoyed the beach a bit--the water was freezing!  Upon your arrival that that ferry terminal, you must cross the street to your 1:00 and follow what they call a "corso" (row of shops) to the beach.  We had dinner in that row at WaterVue for $100 (and it was just average).  After we got back to Circular Quay, we had McDonald's ice cream and did some t-shirt and souvenir shopping a couple doors down.
