Mother Daughter Fashion Show

Saturday, May 19--at church, McKenna belongs to the Activity Girls group, which consists of girls from age 8-11 who meet twice a month after school and accomplish activities goals in certain topics.  Their leaders are great and hard working.  They decided to hold a special activity, a "Mother Daughter Fashion Show", which enabled them to plan and cook a meal, make and set-up decorations, plan music, lighting and skits,...etc., etc., etc.  The leaders had a ward member who is a professional photographer come and set up a backdrop and take photos--of mothers and daughters as well as the fashion show itself.  The leaders prepared a couple lessons on "inner beauty" and "nutrition".  The girls had planned and made spaghetti, salad, rolls and cheesecake with strawberries.  Mothers and daughters planned their outfits, wrote the script, and walked the runway.
