In short:
1. McKenna ran her forehead into a pole at recess on a Wednesday
2. Came home on Thursday and told mom and dad and complained of it hurting. Began taking Tylenol.
3. Started Friday morning with severe pain when Tylenol wore off.
4. Continued profuse pain without Tylenol on Friday afternoon and had extremely large bump in the back of the head. Began getting a fever.
5. Ended up at emergency room of Children's Hospital Friday night. Mom and dad put their two separate conversations with her together and realized the correct timeline.
6. Tests showed no neurological damage, but mild concussion. Was admitted in case pain level stayed the same or worsened, MRI could be done in the middle of the night. Sarah stayed. Jeremy worked. Analea held down the fort. No one made it to any activities the next day.
7. Pain level improved and fever went away by morning.
8. Sent home on Saturday morning with instructions to rest, avoid heat and sun, and avoid physical excercise for 10-14 days.
Favorite part of the hospital stay:
1. Movable bed
2. Breakfast in bed
