Madison's hospital stay

In short:
1. Madison complained on Sunday afternoon in church that her stomach hurt.  Upon questioning, found out that it had been hurting for a couple weeks.
2. Madison called Sarah at work on Monday at lunch saying that she couldn't eat, it hurt too much.
3.  Sarah left work and took Madison to Children's Emergency room.  Spent many hours taking tests and waiting for results, one by one.  Ruled out a long list of possibilities including appendicitis and constipation.
4.  Madison was admitted to spend the night so that they could run ultra-sounds, x-rays, MRI's and CT scans in the morning.  Sarah stayed the night.  Jeremy worked.  Analea got everyone up and out the door the next morning.
5.  Madison began the next series of tests, starting with an x-ray.  X-rays show what is going on with your intestines better than an ultrasound (apparently).  Though an ultrasound will show better things like an ulcer, mass, etc.  Decision was to start with the cheapest and least invasive and work the way up.
6.  X-ray showed that her intestines were fully constipated, even though she was and continuing to have bowel movements.  Medicine prescribed and a follow-up appointment with a pediatric gastroenterologist who deals only with constipation issues (to determine if this is a one-time or upcoming problem and to determine if it could be a muscular problem or chemical break-down problem).
7.  Madison was released in the evening of the second day.
8.  Sarah took off work the FOLLOWING day.  Exhausted!

Best part of the visit:
1.  A better view than McKenna's room
2.  The food choices (Chinese, Malay, Indian, and Western, plus desserts!)
