Pandas and more...

We've been trying to make it up to see the panda's at the zoo as a family for a while.  That has been a challenge.  Also, the pandas (Kia Kia and Jia Jia) are in a special part of the Singapore Zoo in which you have to buy allotted, timed tickets for.  The morning of our flight out to Bali, we accomplished it...and we think it was fun and worth it.  It's an incredible complex compared with other panda residences in other zoos.  It's a big deal here to go.

 They have a long walkway to the actual pandas.  We enjoyed the giant carp and catfish:

 And found some alligators and salamanders:

 And then enjoyed the quiet and the air conditioning:

 We found a Red Panda:

 We got to see where they perform physicals and prepare food for the pandas:

 We got to see the boy panda, Kia Kia, sleep:

 We enjoyed the educational section:

 And we went on the the girl panda, Jia Jia's, habitat:

She's a bit shy and doesn't come out much, so they have a camera set up inside with a television screen on the outside for others to see her and what she's doing:

 They have a fun panda gift shop and a fun panda restaurant:

We ate noodles, sauteed long (green) beans, seasoned cucumber salad, crispy chicken, spring rolls, mango pudding, longan beancurd, etc.  We also bought the "panda pau."  We didn't purchase the root crisps, wontons, eggplant, or the bamboo meal:

We also wanted to see the "Elephant Show," so we visited the White Tiger, Pygmy, and Kangaroo on the way:

The "Elephant Show" is a great show where the elephants blow water out of their trunks on to the audience, crush coconuts, bow, lift and roll gigantic logs, etc.  Lots of fun!
