Christmas Eve

Monday, December 24

On the Friday before, McKenna had a school Christmas performance.  Her class joined a fourth/fifth grade combo class and performed "Mister Frosty Winter".

On the Sunday before, we had the Cushing's over for dessert and games.  There oldest was also a returning college Freshman.  As a side note, when the Cushing's were in college in Texas, they were good friends with the Garner's--who we were good friends and neighbors with in Singapore.

Leading up to the holidays, I took some photos around the house that would hopefully capture a glimpse of what it looks like within--from wrapping presents, Scotty Scout, outdoor decor, the newest White House ornament, annual ornaments from Dave and Pam, to Christmas greetings from friends and family.

We spent the day, learning how to ride bikes, cleaning up and burning the brush that was lining the other side of our property line, eating Indian Butter Chicken, having hot chocolate, preparing for Santa, reading the scriptures about the birth of Jesus Christ, opening the traditional one present, and staying up late to watch the Polar Express movie.
