Another School Year

Another school year began.  We entered 11th, 8th, 4th and 2nd grades.  We were able to complete middle school registration paperwork, sit with high school academic counselors, and tour the elementary school with the principal.  All three schools had a welcome back/new students events before the first day.  And all three schools had a parent welcome night a couple weeks after school started.

Jeremy had gone back to work within a few-ish days of landing.  Sarah returned a couple days before school started.  Allison (and Jeremy) attend early-morning seminary.  Allison gets a ride from there to school.  Jeremy comes home to swoop up Madison and get her to middle school, which is located on the base.  Sarah drives Parker and McKenna to elementary school and then drives to work on base.  School buses here cost money to ride, and aren't available if you live within a certain number of miles to the school.  Our rental house is not in the same zoning as our future house, anyways.  Allison gets a ride home from friends.  Madison walks across the street (from the middle school) to the teen center on base until Jeremy finishes work and picks her up.  Parker and McKenna get a bus ride to the after-school care program on the base--which they absolutely love.

Allison's school work load consists of:  Physics, World Geography, A.P. English Language and Composition, Intro to Engineering and Design, Pre-Calculus, and Spanish II.
