Loy Kee, the Chicken Rice place by our house:
We tried Stuff'd (it really is a Mexican/Turkish combo that was so-so):
Fresh juice place (where you can have it pressed for juice, or purchase as is for eating--notice the grapes lined up perfectly? they are on kebab sticks):Old Chee where you can buy sweetened dried pork--it's really good:
The Terror Club, our American restaurant on the base:
The Jim Thompson restaurant, where you can get really good Thai:
Din Tai Fung, THE place to get dumplings (also a favorite lemon grass juice location). We ordered a chocolate-filled dumpling for dessert!:
Marche', a fantastic buffet place where you swipe your card on each thing you want and then pay at the end:
Cafe' Iguana, located in Clarke Quay, one of the better Mexican restaurants in SG (we met up with work friends--the Wigent's--who had moved in within days of us 4 years ago):
Our last night was at Nando's, where we met up with new friends (the King's) who will be joining the office we are leaving and even bought our car from us. We have numerous mutual friends from several different circles.
