Trip Day 7--Flight of the Gibbon (zip-lining)

This ended up being the highlight of the trip for the kids (not The Great Wall, not the Elephant Camp, etc.).  Even four-year-old McKenna (they connected her harness to the line and sent her off before anyone--the rest of us--realized what was going on)!  Zip-lining through the treetops of Chiang Mai, Thailand...

"Professional" pictures of our adventures/from another angle (we left out most of the "rear-end" ones):

We had had Starbucks (orange juice, hot chocolate, muffins and pastries) for breakfast around the corner from our hotel.  Flight of the Gibbon picked us up at 9:00 a.m.  We wore longer shorts and comfortable clothes, including sports shoes (running and hiking).  Bug spray is a MUST.  They had lockers for our stuff.  We'd brought jackets just in case, but it was humid even though it was cooler, and we did not wear them.  Sarah did zip-line with her camera around her neck (which is the only item that they allow you to wear as extra).  They did provide bandanas to wear under the helmets.   They provided all equipment.  They had an option of purchasing all of the pictures that they took of us for 1000 baht.  They also provided lunch.  It was really good and consisted of rice, thin potato and chicken curry, vegetable stir fry, fried eggs, watermelon, and pineapple.  We paid extra for drinks...about 140 baht for 4 sodas and 2 waters.

On our way back to the hotel, they made a stop at the waterfalls nearby:

That night for dinner, we followed the suggestion of one of the hotel concierge's and ate at Whole Earth.  A definite must!  Ran about 2400 baht?

Sarah went shopping for shoes and purses at the chain store Bata, and Jeremy went and got a Thai foot massage.
